Yoga can be mysterious and yet research shows, it can also offer tremendous benefits physically and mentally. Through more scientific evidence, it is becoming clear that yoga has many applications and benefits. Melissa began teaching yoga in 2005 both for herself and to share something she loved with others. Since that point, she has grown her understanding of yoga by watching and observing her clients with great detail. In 2020 she went back to graduate school to study the mental health benefits of yoga and graduated in 2022 with a Masters in Science in Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Melissa has a passion for sharing the passed-down wisdom of vinyasa yoga combined with scientific evidence in a way that is digestible, accessible, and outcome-based.
While it is not always easy to study yoga or find the right teacher, our programming is designed to integrate and apply what works in yoga and understand how it works. There is exciting evidence of the neurological changes that are occurring as a result of yoga and meditation and it is an exciting time to be a part of the next level of yoga.
"Yoga is not about touching your toes, it's about what you learn on the way down"
- Indra Devi
