Start with the basics
This module is a self-paced, 100% online learning experience that can be a part of our 200-hour yoga program or as a stand-alone module. By understanding the history of vinyasa yoga and the many applications of vinyasa yoga, participants will gain a better understanding of how to use vinyasa yoga as a tool to promote healthier minds and bodies.
Foundations are built one brick at a time.
The Intro to Vinyasa Yoga module takes approximately 8-hours to complete and includes reading material, videos with Melissa, and activities that include doing yoga practices such as sun salutations and pranayama. This module offers an in-depth opportunity for anyone who is interested in understanding the history of vinyasa yoga along with its main components, such as fluid movement, yogic breathing, asanas (poses), and intentionality.
For those taking this module as a part of our 200-hour yoga teacher training, there will also be training requirements included.
